Welcome to the Quit Porn Addiction forum
Here's a quick overview of what this website offers, and how you can get the most benefit from it.
Who is this site for?
Well, anyone who feels that porn is having some negative impact on their life. This may mean:
• Feeling addicted or out of control
• Wasting time and energy collecting and viewing porn
• Feeling hurt and rejected by a husband or boyfriend who seems to prefer porn to you
• Feeling alone with this problem, shameful or guilty
• Simply not being able to see any way out
We welcome men and women of all ages, viewpoints and sexual orientations. This is a safe, confidential place of mutual respect and support. There are forum areas especially for men, partners and teens.
This site operates in the spirit of openess and tolerance. We are not pushing any religious or conservative agenda, and this is not an anti-porn campaign.
How to join the discussion
Quit Porn Addiction is 100% free. We provide regular updates, help articles and a full community forum.
Simply register your username and email address to join. As a registered member, you'll be able to post new topics in the forum to share your experiences, ask questions and discuss any aspect of porn addiction. You can comment and respond to all posts.
Our private messaging system enables you to get in touch directly with other forum members.
As a registered member, you can opt to receive an email notification when your post or comment has been replied to.
The bookmarking tool enables you to privately bookmark any help article or forum post for easy future reference.
Unregistered visitors can post comments in the forum, but there will be a delay while the comment is manually approved. This helps us to keep out the spam and trolls, so registering is recommended (and much less annoying for you)!
Confidentiality and respect
We will never share your details with any advertisers or third parties. That's 100% guaranteed.
As a registered member, you have full control over whether you want to receive email notifications when someone responds to your post. This is available in your account settings page.
You are able to delete your account at any time.
We actively monitor posts for spam or abuse, and members can flag up any post to be checked by a moderator. You can read our forum guidelines here (we try to keep the rules to a minimum).
Who runs this site?
It was started by Jason Dean, a counsellor and hypnotherapist based in London. Jason helps people to overcome all kinds of compulsive behaviours and his work has been featured by the BBC and the UK national press.
The site is also moderated by volunteer members. If you would like to help moderate the forum, please get in touch. We are extremely grateful to everyone who participates and supports in any way.
