Obsessive Communication Disorder

Today's Sun newspaper features some surprising personal stories of internet addiction. Facebook, Twitter, online shopping, dating sites and porn; the article rightly concludes that digital information overload can ruin lives.

According to Sun Agony Aunt Deidre Sanders, one in three men said they were addicted to sex and porn on the net (three times the rate for women) in her 2008 survey.

There's also a comment from me about the challenge of breaking free from addiction and managing trigger situations.

A typically sensationalist

A typically sensationalist piece as you would expect from the Sun, but good that they treated the subject with an iota of sensible advice.

When I read about the girl setting her alarm clock so she could check Facebook during the night, I thought "oh come off it. that never happened". Yet I myself have gotten up ridiculously early in order to restart some porn torrent downloads. So maybe not so daft after all.

Hi,

Although I havent read the piece in the sun myself, it sounds utterly hypercritical as usual coming from the sun the very news paper that invented the page 3. The paper that sold more copies because of the tit count & launched the careers of models such as Malinda Messanger page three stunner!!!!. etc,etc Yawn!! Yawn!!.
