Independent on Sunday rehab feature

Today's Independent on Sunday supplement is dedicated to the subject of addiction rehab: True confessions from the frontline of addiction. Featuring some touchingly honest and insightful interviews, it explores the rehab experiences of people suffering from a wide range of addiction problems.

There's a brief contribution from me about my own experience of addiction and the process of recovery, plus a suitably atmospheric photo of me standing in the middle of Soho on a dark, rainy night.

It's refreshing to see the issue of porn addiction included in such a mainstream article. Here's hoping that 2008 will bring further media awareness, free from sniggering undertones or sensationalism.
